Thermal drone helps agencies battle ‘large-scale’ brush fire in Madison County

PHOTOS: Multiple agencies responded to a “large-scale” brush fire where a thermal drone was used to assist agencies in Madison County. Monrovia Volunteer Fire- Rescue responded to assist the Killingsworth Cove Fire Department for a brush fire in the eastern part of the county.

MVFR officials said their agency deployed additional units and a thermal drone to provide overhead awareness, identify hotspots, track fire spread, and make informed decisions to protect personnel and property.

There was no word of any injuries or property damage.
