New Zoll monitors transform Killeen FD’s emergency response

VIDEO: In Killeen, every single day brings a new call, a new emergency, a new opportunity to make a difference. “When a patient calls 911 and has an emergency—whether it’s a toe pain or a cardiac arrest—these monitors are going to be hands on, collecting the patient’s vitals, monitoring their breathing, their pulse rate, and everything we need to assess each patient accordingly.”

For years, the Killeen Fire Department relied on the LifePak 15 Monitors, reliable equipment, but things are changing.

“We’re training on our new Zoll monitors, what this is – this is going to be the bread and butter of every single patient interaction,” Cole Dement said.

“These new monitors have touch screen capabilities. Which is huge. They have better capabilities in regards to monitoring different things that the other ones did not.”
